This small town on the coast in the very eastern part of Dorset, sits on the confluence of two rivers, the Stour and the Avon. The harbour is a haven for wildlife and attracts visitors ranging from fishermen to sailors and water sports enthusiasts.

Christchurch takes its name from the Priory which dominates the town.

There is a market on Mondays.
