WRAXALL, a parish in the hundred of EGGERTON, Bridport division of the county of DORSET, 8 miles (E. by S.) from Beaminster, containing 62 inhabitants.

The living is a rectory, united, in 1758, to that of Rampisham, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at £5. The church is dedicated to the Conception of the Virgin Mary.
