TURNERS-PUDDLE, a parish in the hundred of HUNDREDSBARROW, Blandford (South) division of the county of DORSET, 7½ miles (N.W.) from Wareham, containing 98 inhabitants.

The living is a discharged rectory, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £7. 13. 4., endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of J. Frampton, Esq. The church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, was partly blown down in 1758, and rebuilt in 1759. The river Piddle runs through the parish.
