RAMPISHAM, a parish in the hundred of TOLLERFORD, Dorchester division of the county of DORSET, 6½ miles (E.) from Beaminster, containing 368 inhabitants.

The living is a rectory, with that of Wraxhall united, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at £11. 17. 8½., and in the patronage of W. White, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
