BURLESTON, a parish in the hundred of PIDDLETOWN, Dorchester division of the county of DORSET, 6 miles (E.N.E.) from Dorchester, containing 63 inhabitants.

The living is a rectory, united with that of Admiston, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at £3. 17. 1. The river Piddle passes on the southern side of the village.
