TARRANT-RAWSTON, a parish in the hundred of PIMPERNE, Blandford (North) division of the county of DORSET, 4 miles (E. by N.) from Blandford-Forum, containing 58 inhabitants.

The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at 8. 9. 2., and in the patronage of Sir J.W. Smith, Bart. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The small river Tarrent runs through this parish, and that of Tarrant-Rushton.
