RAMPISHAM, a parish in the hundred of TOLLERFORD, Dorchester division of the county of DORSET, 6 miles (E.) from Beaminster, containing 368 inhabitants.

The living is a rectory, with that of Wraxhall united, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at 11. 17. 8., and in the patronage of W. White, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
