PILSDON, a parish in the hundred of WHITCHURCH - CANONICORUM, Bridport division of the county of DORSET, 4 miles (W. by S.) from Beaminster, containing 100 inhabitants.

The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at 7. The Hon. Lady Damer was patroness in 1802. The church is small and very ancient.
