The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at 17. 3. 9., and in the patronage of the Provost and Felloas of Eton College. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The small river Piddle runs through the parish. A school is supported by annual donations averaging about 16.
