The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at 11. 0. 2., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Salisbury. The church is dedicated to St. Osmond. The parish is bounded on the south by the English channel.
