hundred of BADBURY, Shaston (East) division of the county of DORSET, 3
miles (N.E. by N.) from Wimborne-Minster,
containing 1180 inhabitants. Here were anciently a forest, chase, and
park, and a chapel of ease, dedicated to St. James.
