BROADMAYNE, a parish in the hundred of GEORGE, Dorchester division of the county of DORSET, 3½ miles (S.E. by S.) from Dorchester, containing 277 inhabitants.

The living is a rectory with West Knighton, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at £15. 4. 2. M. Browne, Esq. and others were patrons in 1805. The church is dedicated to St. Martin.
