BROADMAYNE, a parish in the hundred of GEORGE, Dorchester division of the county of DORSET, 3 miles (S.E. by S.) from Dorchester, containing 277 inhabitants.

The living is a rectory with West Knighton, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, rated in the king's books at 15. 4. 2. M. Browne, Esq. and others were patrons in 1805. The church is dedicated to St. Martin.
