BOTHENHAMPTON, a parish in the liberty of LOTHERS and BOTHENHAMPTON, Bridport division of the county of DORSET, 1¼ mile (S.E. by S.) from Bridport, containing 385 inhabitants.

The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese of Bristol, and in the patronage of Sir M. H. Nepean. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. This parish is bounded on the west by an estuary called Bridport harbour.
