BEER-HACKET, a parish in the hundred of SHERBORNE, Sherborne division of the county of DORSET, 5 miles (S.W. by S.) from Sherborne, containing 78 inhabitants.

The living is a discharged rectory, within the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at 6. 2. 8. Sir John Munden was patron in 1785. The church is dedicated to St. Michael.
