ALTON-PANCRAS, a parish in the liberty of ALTON-PANCRAS, Cerne sub-division of the county of DORSET, 8¼ miles (N.) from Dorchester, containing 207 inhabitants.

 The living a discharged vicarage, is a peculiar belonging to the Dean of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £9., and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew.
