Annie WHITE married Albert NASH 11 April 1914 at St Mary's Church, in the Parish of Piddleton, in the County of Dorset. Witnesses for this wedding were H.J. White and Emily E. White. Albert NASH was a Stoker on the H.M.S. Monarch at the time of the wedding. Most of my mother's ancestors came from Dorset.

UPWARD & NEW originated in Stourpaine, MORTIMER from Wareham, DOREY from East Stoke, GILLINGHAM from Hazelbury Bryan and Buckland Newton, RAYMOND (& variants) from Tollard Royal (actually in Wiltshire) and WHITMARSH from Cann. Another NEW family came from Pimperne.

Amelia NEW at age 16 arrived NSW aboard the ship Emigrant with her father William 41, her mother Jane 38 or 39 and her Aunt Jane NEW (nee MONCKTON) 38 or 39 in 1849. Her cousins, brothers and sisters are listed in the passenger list as Andrew 2, Anne 10, Dinah 13, Elizabeth 17, Emanuel 12, Emily 8, Henrietta 6, James 15, Mark 13 and Mary Anne 18. Amelia is Miria NEW c 3 March 1833, Stourpaine, Dorset, England d/o William NEW and Jane HUNT as listed in the British Vital Records CD published by LDS. I need more info on both William and Jane. William was a farmer born about 1808.

I am searching for information on Richard Sherring born circa 1827 around or near Yeovil, Sommerset. He married Louisa Knott, born circa 1847 in Sturminster Newton, Dorset. Their son John moved to Toronto, Canada in the 1870's. Their daughter Kate was born in Sturminster Newton in 1860. She married George Fredeick Havell in 1884. Then married Charles Go(o)dwin of Mageston Farm, Gillingham, Dorset. Louisa Knott's parents were Elizabeth Belbin and John Knott from Sturminster Newton. Other names are Rose, Dashwood, Newman, Hiscock, and Drake

On January 2, 1749 a Thomas DeGreshe married Elizabeth Newsam, also in Christchurch, Hampshire. Mary DeGreshe was born to Thomas on January 6, 1751 in Christchurch.
