I'm currently doing some research of my family name: IVANY/IVAMY, some of my Newfoundland ancestors may have come from Dorset County c.1750.It's known that 75% of the Trinity Bay Region of Newfoundland, where at least 6 generations of my family have lived is of 75% Wessex Ancestry. If anyone knows anything of the IVAMY/IVAMEY/IVAMY/IFFEMY/IVIMEY name and variants, I'd like very much to hear from you. Possible ancestors: James and George IVYMY OR IVAMY. Thanks!!
